Clinical Implementation
The VELscope system is easy to integrate into your office protocols.
Most effective as a component of comprehensive patient care, the VELscope is introduced as part of the intra-oral and extra-oral exam. After discussing the exam with the patient, VELscope's blue excitation light is shone into the oral cavity. Abnormal tissue typically appears as an irregular, dark area that stands out against the green fluorescence pattern of surrounding healthy tissue.
